JQ Innovation is a one-person web and app design studio in Austin, Texas. I am Joaquim, and I build fast, sharp websites for local service businesses so they get found and win more customers.
Here is the thing I keep running into. So many local businesses do genuinely great work, the kind people drive across town for, but their website does not show it. It loads slowly, it looks dated on a phone, or there is barely a website at all. Meanwhile the shop down the street with the cleaner site is the one that shows up first on Google and gets the call. That gap is what I fix.
What I actually do
I build you a website that is fast, looks great on a phone, and is easy for a customer to act on, whether that means call, book, or stop by. Then I keep watching how people are finding you, on Google, on the new AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, and through your reviews, and I keep tuning the site so you stay ahead of the businesses you compete with.
It is not a one-and-done project that I hand over and disappear. The web keeps moving. How customers search this year is not how they searched two years ago. I stay on it so you do not have to think about it.
How I build
I use a modern, fast stack and a few principles I do not bend on:
- Fast by default. Pages load in a blink, because speed keeps visitors around and Google rewards it.
- Mobile-first. Most of your customers are on a phone, so I design for the phone first and the desktop second.
- You stay in control. Every word, photo, price, and hour on your site is yours to change in a simple dashboard, with no code and no waiting on me.
- No lock-in. You own your content and your site. If you ever want to walk, you can take everything with you. I want you to stay because the work is good, not because you are stuck.
